Independent i, considers the case of juror Theodora Dallas who was sentenced to six months in jail for causing a trial to be aborted for googling the accused and telling fellow jurors what she’d uncovered. It notes that numerous members of the public, quizzed by the BBC, said that in Dallas’s position, they would most likely have done the same thing.
