Meet the Dellapina Diaz Team
Marco Dellapina
Marco read Law, Economics and German at Middlesex University in London and then went on to the Guildford College of Law for his post graduate diploma. He trained at Glenisters Solicitors in Middlesex where he spent four years specialising in general litigation work. He retrained in Commercial Law at Harris Cartwright Solicitors in Slough for two years before joining City of London firms Lawrence Jones Solicitors in Blackfriars and then KSB Law in Fetter Lane. In the City, he developed a general commercial and litigation practice which included acting for a major premier league London football club and major foreign corporates doing business in the UK.
Marco decided to move to Cheshire after the birth of his first child in December 2004 where he has since built up the practice.
He also speaks several languages including Italian, Spanish, Greek, French and German. Out of hours Marco enjoys spending time with his family and going on trips with the caravan!
Hector Diaz
Hector is a qualified practicing Spanish Lawyer providing advice on Spanish law to corporates and individuals with interests in Spain. Conversant in administrative and commercial law as well as litigation, he is particularly experienced in representing clients with real estate investments in southern Spain. The London office is led by founding partner Hector Diaz.
Chris Holloway
Chris has significant experience in all types of civil litigation matters, in particular, personal injury and landlord and tenant disputes.
Chris began his legal career with a large firm in West Yorkshire undertaking regulatory work principally on behalf of the Solicitors Regulation Authority (‘SRA’), acting as an agent for the SRA in relation to interventions into solicitors’ practices. He also investigated complaints of inadequate professional service.
Out of work he enjoys football, cricket and golf and is an avid supporter of Shrewsbury Town Football Club!
Sheryl Lightfoot
Sheryl is a paralegal in our Conveyancing Department and deals mainly with post-completion work including issues such as Stamp Duty Land Tax, registrations at HM Land Registry and other post-completion formalities.
At the opposite end of the scale, Sheryl also deals with drafting Contracts and Transfer Deeds on sales and Transfer of Equity matters as well as dealing with searches and other preliminary matters. Sheryl has over ten years of experience in this field.
Outside of work Sheryl spends most of her time entertaining her young son and large Dalmatian dog.
Dominic Pisano
Dominic specialises in all aspects of Family Law, particularly dealing with the complexities that can arise in negotiating financial settlements and the arrangements that divorcing or separating couples may need to work out in relation to their children. He is also familiar with matters involving co-habitation (non-married couples living together), cases with a foreign element and pre-nuptial contracts/agreements. He has written articles about family matters, addressed conferences and has provided specialist advice to the committees of a number of charitable organisations.
As well as being a member of Resolution, Dominic is also a Collaborative Practitioner and is committed to adhering to the Code of Practice of Resolution and their work as Family Practitioners as well as to the Code of the Law Society. In his capacity as a Collaborative Practitioner, Dominic is committed to supporting separating couples and their families in resolving various types of difficulties that stem from the ending of a relationship.
Steve Dearden
Steve is a member of our Conveyancing Department and has wide ranging experience in conveyancing law and practice. Steve began his legal career over 30 years ago and has always dealt principally with conveyancing and related matters.
Steve obtained accreditation in workplace and neighbour mediation earlier this year and undertakes voluntary work for Wirral Mediation Services as and when required.
Out of work Steve enjoys watching football and cricket and will when pushed turn his hand to DIY.
