House prices as well as house sales continue to rise but the number transactions are still being stifled by the difficulties in obtaining mortgage funding particularly by first time buyers

So much of the economy's recovery depends on the recovery of the housing market because of the money it injects into the system from the purchase of home furnishings, kitchens, bathrooms and white goods, removal services and building services to financial and legal services and conveyancing in our case! What are the banks waiting for to start lending again and why isn't the government doing more about it?
More pressure is needed!
